To be honest, anything electronica-pop from that mid-late 2000s period is strong nostalgic bait for me. Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, Ke$ha, David Guetta, Nelly Furtado, Timbaland, etc. My parents were musicians playing this kind of music when I was a kid, so it's very particular for me, it's not just familiar but meaningless background noise.

Tamil Eelam songs... a big throwback to 2019 when I researched the fuck out of Sri Lanka's war. Hell, my longest crush was on a Sri Lankan Tamil, and I feel kind of a soft spot for the Tamil people in general, so...

I mean the LTTE were assholes through and through, massacred their own people (that's right, we liberate you but we also slaughter you) but I find their songs kinda cool
