The last game I was looking forward to was Gran Turismo 7. Before that it was Cyberpunk 2077. Why do I even bother anymore. (to answer your question it's Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, though not as hyped as GT7 or Cyberpunk and given Game Freak's track record it's probably gonna end up mediocre)

I've been waiting for GTA VI for almost a decade now, and given all the internal changes of Rockstar Games my hype has been declining. A lot of their core staff left, and they've gone full retard with monetization on GTA Online. I think story mode is going to be a secondary focus to GTA VI and a lot of fun stuff will be locked to online only unless you know how to mod PC

Call me a pleb but I'm actually excited for the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare rumored to come out this year. Modern Warfare 2019 was my go to quarantine game and it was a solid FPS, lot of quirky gun customization as well. Might make another go at their mastery camo challenge :EZY:

Radio the Universe (BLAME!-inspired zeldalike) looks really good and is probably not vaporware, despite being in development for over a decade.
Terra Invicta (hard sci-fi XCOM with an emphasis on conspiratorial geopolitics) has also gotten my attention lately. I'm honestly kind of a retard when it comes to strategy games, but the premise and scope are too cool to pass up.
HROT (Quake, but it doesn't make sense unless you grew up in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic) and Tiny Combat Arena (low-poly flight sim) are both out on early access, but I don't want to play either until they're finished.

Black Annex was going to be an RTS similar to Cyberdogs, but written in QBASIC (or so it's claimed). It was greenlit on Steam back in 2013, though it existed for some time before then. For all of its existence, it has not changed in appearance since it was originally announced, and appears to be abandoned without explanation. But it did look cool as fuck. Every couple of years, I track down the creator to ask when it's coming out. I have never gotten a direct response.

'83 from Antimatter games for sure. It's an alternate history cold war tactical shooter.

Elden Ring looks cool. I know it's released, but I will only get the chance to play it for a couple of days in the middle of May.

I've been living with severely restricted internet for the last 8 or so months so I'm not sure what new releases are out. This thread's actually been a godsend.
