What would be your end credits song?

Silly thought exercise.

The movie is over.
The coffin/ashes are dealt with.
The camera begins to pan up towards the sky.
Its a beautiful sunset with the moon faintly in the sky as well and the credits start to go up the screen.

Why:

I always thought this song was very beautiful and would be the last song I would want to listen to if the world ended or something. The song is about having loved and that love dying, or being lost. Its a very touching song and one that always makes me feel hopeful despite it being a somewhat melancholy sounding song. It also just seems like something you would have heard playing as the last song on the movie. I always get movie like imagery too whenever I listen to it too, like I just see things kinda framed visually in the way a camera would capture it perhaps.



Anyways do you guys have any songs like this? Hope this thread isnt too dumb/odd.

It's from a visual novel and later anime adaptation, AIR.
The soundtrack is fine on it's own, and Lia is an extremely talented singer - this was actually her debut as a singer as well. the songs have since become more popular than the VN itself.
I'm currently replaying through it and uploading it onto Youtube at the moment, since there aren't really any other uncommented playthroughs in English.

Okay for some reason I thought it sounded familiar! I watched AIR one time back in the day when I was younger and pirated all my anime. Sad one if remember correctly. Also I'll check out your Playthrough! sounds interesting.

I love this song! Heard it from the MDE sketch, and it was defiently a song that just made that gives me the hair standing up feeling. Always listen to it when I need some motivation, Love songs like this too. Melancholy but hopeful at the same time. Really enjoy older pop punk and similair sounding stuff for that same feeling.

There was a guy (Lucas Hidemi Komori) who had an OG commentated playthrough of it on Youtube. It was pretty low quality, but I just checked and I think he scrubbed it from his channel. Which I feel a bit about since I remember watching some of it like over 10 years ago back when AIR only had an incomplete English patch out.

Man, Again, Thanks to MDE I found out about John Maus too and this album is sooo good. Apparently they wanted to use Cop Killer for the sketch instead of hey moon but I actually prefer it the way it is. That song has such a strong melancholy feel.

These four would signify an end of means of my struggle as a person if I ended up dropping my mortal coil one day and I'd just be in peace if it were the case.
No matter the methods and what my actions have culminated in, I know that I did something on this earth. Whatever that may be.

Truthy it's a tie for me if it comes down to choosing my own 'end credit song' for various reason.
