Again I'm not a neet, I'm a wagie who works at hotel front desk. Better than fast food or retail admittedly but I still have to deal with some of the most arrogant people on regular basis. I know that not everyone is like that but normies would just expect you to soon feed every informations to them as I have to pretend that I give a shit about muh customers. And normies in general, aren't just... very interesting, I wasn't shitting when I said they are NPC cattle, all I see normies do are either working with their computers, social media, or consuming tiktok / youtube.
I don't really think I would have missed out anything from my life if I've never worked at my current job and socialize with strangers in the first place, I forget every single of the normies the day after I met them anyway.
Security can be ensuredbif I can get my neetbux which I tried, but failed, which is why I'm still a wagie, I can't get diagnosed with autism :v
You sound more arrogant than ten of these people combined. Seriously.

I should add that I'm a software developer, not a retail worker/helpdesk/related employee... so I definitely have a coloured view of things. Also Neetbux isn't enough in every place of the world. In the UK you'll only get like £200-300 for disability and about £250-400 for universal credit for being unemployed. In an optimistic view, about £700, which isn't really enough in the UK imo.

If you get denied disability(very likely because UK is backwards), universal credit isn't enough to live on
£700? I live in Taiwan and you only get autismbux if you were in poverty, that's why I'm looking for an alternative, by getting a stress-free part time job that can balance my saving and spending
I tried to apply gamedev sofeware job before as I have indie game development experience and a finished project on Steam, unfortunately it isn't possible to land a job with that at the shithole I live. You'd only land a decent IT job if you were graduate from the correct university with the correct major at the correct age.

You sound more arrogant than ten of these people combined. Seriously.
I know, it would be better for everyone if I never have to interact with normies.

NEETBux isn't about having autism. It's just about using any of the welfare options presented to you. Some countries consider Autism a disability some don't, and there's a lot of invisible disabilities that get a bad rep due to being used for disability welfare(i.e. Fibromyalgia). Universal credit is something designed mainly to help people in between jobs and without much in the way of savings, it's clearly not designed to last.

While it violates NEET, there's another option which is using student loans and studying junk degrees each year. I've heard of some people doing this, and it's one way to get money, but it depends on your country's student loan situation. In the UK student loans are a joke that nobody pays off and gets wiped off the record after 40 years

The anime girl pfp user is a neet? What a surprise!
Get your shit together, if you were so sure of the neet life being superior you wouldn't have made this thread, unless your main goal was to just argue with people.

As someone who used to really struggle with socialization I highly recommend you get a job that forces you to directly interact with strangers, once you start to improve and you come out of your shell you're going to realize how retarded you were for squandering your youth being an antisocial shut-in.

And to be honest I'm still not big on normies either, I find them grating to interact with, but you don't have to be their direct friends, just socially adapt to tolerate their ignorance in a polite manner. It's part of the whole process of getting out there, filtering through people, and finding the rare groups of people who are sincere/interesting/down to earth.

I was gonna post a big paragraph, but OP is an antinatalist otherkin and he hasn't pulled his head out of his cavernous arse once in this thread. If he really thinks that a life of government handouts, hatred, monotony, jacking off all day, videogames, anime, and an insignificant suicide is the best life to lead, he can go ahead and live that life.
I don't think there's anything to be said that shouldn't already be obvious.
Maybe this was a troll post?

Maybe OP is, but not all NEET is government handouts NEET. Big brain NEET is getting financial independence and retiring as early as comfortably possible :3

I seriously don't understand why there's the need to say either NEET or normie. Just do you? NEETs are slow burning self destructive cornballs and normies/breeders/whatever are boring as all hell too "my kids my family i made blah blah blah" congratulations on doing the one basic function almost every creature on earth does.

I hold down a job I don't entirely hate. I game as much as I want. I have a good circle of friends irl who I see as often as I want. And I've been in a relationship for ten years, no kids no marriage, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Live how y'all wanna live, no reasonable dream is unreachable. Mine was "exist comfortably".

Hating society is funny because guess what: that attitude is part of the problem too pal.

To answer the question, what would you miss out on as a NEET? You'd miss out on NOT being one of the corniest tropes of a living organism ever.

From your many post throughout the thread, it doesn't even sound like you want to be a neet, It sounds like you want to be a self-employed artist of sorts. You could probably make your neet-ajacent lifestyle wants work by having a few self made/published games on steam or a crowd supported art project be it a web-comic, patreon porn nonsense/commissions. (I am slightly assuming that cost of living expenses in Thailand are relatively cheaper than the USA, which should make things easier for you to do, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) You might also be able to take advantage of the whole V-tuber thing if you're a girl(doubt, but there is always a chance), since you have programming/art skills you could make and rig your own model to siphon money from thirsty simps while you play games, you even have experience manipulating people through your current job so you should be able to find a niche in the field if you try. It looks like you already have a plan to work towards this in finding a part time job to subsidize your art stuff, till it makes enough to live somewhat comfortably without it.

As for the neet vs other side of the equation, it seems the isolation and repetition grinds against the soul of the vast majority of people, slowly draining the motivation to even do neet things as your life spirals into true pointlessness. In addition, if I may armchair physiologist for but a moment, your overall negativity and dislike of societal norms in cross reference to other post that I have seen you make comes across as sour grapes towards what you perceive normies as having. The general feeling of acceptance, lack of care, and I suppose, feelings of happiness.
In order

Sex is something that people have a tendency to hype up due to both it's pleasurable aspects and , for males, as a symbol of success, but as quite a few people have figured out it's rather hollow by itself. It's ultimately the intimacy and bonding with another person that gives it any real value.

Starting a family has traditionally been a struggle, it's really not any different than it has been for the past 1000 years or so, though the swing from good/bad times isn't quite as severe as it was in the past. I actually don't find the world to be dystopian currently, just in a period of transition since it has basically reverted back into early stage capitalism on a global scale, and it's gunna be a while until things balance out. I also don't understand the general negativity around existence since life has been far, far worse in the past.

As far as socializing is concerned, you seem to be doing just fine here, online spaces are just as much a form of community as anything else, you really shouldnt hold in in lesser regard. The internet hasn't quite been ruined yet, since normies make up the majority of people of course the largest, most popular places are going to be normie spaces. Places like Agora Road still exist for all manner of niche interest and, at least for now, it seems most normies don't want everything non-normie to be kicked off the internet. In addition, I don't know how you could tell that there is no real community where you live since you actively avoid participating in most social activities, also
p7ir9q9elpl01.jpg

I imagine you hide your power level while preforming your job, most non-normies do that when interacting in a public business, you likely wouldn't know it even if you had interacted with one.

I have a job and a gf but those are the only things that could qualify me as a normie. I have virtually no irl friends anymore and I hate leaving my house.

There was a moral in Dune that's always stuck with me in relation to questions of this nature with the space guild. The easy path is the road to stagnation. I don't mean to discount all of NEETdom with that comment. Building your own operating system from scratch is a different kind of life than attempting to consume media with overbearing depression until you jack off and fall asleep to do it again tomorrow.
The moral I got out of Dune is that space Jihad is based but I guess you could read it that way too
Urgh. Pull your head out of your ass, really. You're not superior to anyone ffs, this attitude just makes you completely unlikable.
You're completely right that people like this are just unlikeable rejects that think theyre better than others to cope with their shortcomings.

This "weirdo outcast" shit that people get into is so cringe. In what way is it bad to be well adjusted, have meaningful relationships and work hard at your job to pay the bills. I get that society is messed up but this doesnt mean that dissidents have to be losers that cant deal with normal people to avoid the negatives that come with modernity.

I earn 200$ a month, dude what are you talking about, that's a shitton of money.
Maximum for Universal credit + maximum for PIP(Which I confuse a lot with DLA, but both are pretty much the same thing).

PIP is weekly £150, coming out to ~£500 monthly, if you get the maximum, which is unlikely because >UK

Universal credit. The whole partner and age stuff makes it whack, but for ease of calculation, you can get ~£300 for an individual.

Since you mentioned $, I'm guessing you're thinking of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Zimbabwean(or some other place that uses some form of dollar). It's not a shitton of money when you consider average cost of rent in the UK is about £750+. Once you factor in food costs and other costs, it's only really liveable in the North East(which is actually a great place to be, but as I'm from Newcastle Upon Tyne I'm biased). Add in cost of living crisis making things worse in late '22 and early '23, and those stats I linked are probably optimistic now

lol I hide my powerlevel in real life with no problem, I just decided to not hiding my toxicity anymore on an anonymous forum because that would be pretty stupid if I have to fake my personality and hide my powerlevel on an obscure corner of the internet.

UK seems to be a lot shitter than initially thought huh. In Taiwan you can support a decent minimalist lifestyle with around $500 - $600 per month, which is about 24 hours / week of minimum wage work.

This is for you OP.
Be sure to read the lyrics:
Ababa ababa ababa dancing baby human

When humans are born naked everyone is
loved the same
Why then is it that during our lives
Our fates are divided in a most cruel way

Some look people in the eyes, others are
not seen, some know love, others don't
If that's the case I would rather be a
baby until I die - a baby human

"Oh what a cute baby! He makes me want
to love him!"
(All according to plan!) (That went
great!)

The baby she hold is actually a baby
human
Behind that innocent face he is
snickering inside
You should be one too! It's nice and
easy! Baby human
Ababa ababa, dance, multiply, and then
world domination!
Conquer Russia, Canada, and India too

They don't do what I say, even though
I'm the king, she doesn't look at me,
even though I am her lover
Why is reality like this? Do we even need
truth?

I pretended to laugh it all away, but
the day I was told that was impossible
I decided I have no choice, but to be a
baby until death - a baby human

"Oh what a clever baby! He's going to be
a big-shot when he grows up!"
(Not really)(This is just how I am)

The baby she hold is surprisingly a baby
human
Hidden behind a red little outfit - it's
camouflage!
We don't have work or jobs, it's great!
Baby human
Ababa ababa, dance, multiply, planet
earth will be ours!
Conquer China, Europe, and Turkey too

"Oh what a cute baby! He makes me want
to love him!"
(All according to plan!) (That went
great!)

The baby she hold is actually a baby
human
Behind that innocent face he is
snickering inside
You should be one too! It's nice and
easy! Baby human
Ababa ababa, dance, multiply, and we'll
go into space!

Colonize Mars, Saturn, and the Milky Way
Dance, baby humans!
Dance, baby humans!

Man, the one thing I miss about the NEET life back during the '08 recession was getting hardcore into MS Flight Simulator. :chikaYo: Seriously to the point of downloading gigs of photorealistic Antarctica texture packs and meticulously flying missions above the mysterious frozen wastes whilst listening to early recordings of Art Bell call-in shows. With even a mini-fridge and microwave in the basement at the time, one only needed to emerge from the dark, weed-and-fart scented lair of techno-degeneracy to restart the router. An anxiety-inducing task, indeed.

Okay, so what? All you're saying is you can't find a reason to keep working if you don't want to do what other people do. I think, as the other users appear to, that your reason for not wanting to do what others do is pretty contrived and deluded, but having stated your case thus far, I have no reason you shouldn't just not work. Unless you have a goal in mind, I cannot offer any defense of any way of life, because there's no 'why'. If all you want to do is tear down the various 'whys', then all I can say is you won't get very far. This is just navel-gazing nihilism imho.
