• I added an agora current events board to contain discussions of political and current events to that category. This was due to a increase support for a separate board for political talk.

(almost) every single human being was put on this earth for a specific purpose. god could've switched our souls in the bodies we reside in for an infinite number of souls. and yet, he chose ours.
Maybe it happens, during timeline shifts (Harambe)

What keeps me alive is what reminds me that im not so alive as i believe. Im not so good as i think i am(ego-shadow self, materialistic surface-fake self), im not in touch with my soul , my spirit isnt well known by me yet, and too many unanswered questions not because of ignorance but many of them are lost in the chaos of life. So theres a lifetimes work maybe a lifetime not enough and thats what worries me.

I'll keep it short and sweet. What's keeping you alive? For the past weeks I have been struggling to find reason to do anything. Everything seems pointless. It's not that I'm craving death. If everything is pointless, so is death. I just find it hard to wake from bed. Do you feel similar? Whats keeping you motivated?

Wife, 2 dogs(one is a puppy and raising him has been overwhelmingly motivating)and close family would be basically the only anchors I have at this point. Anything else is inconsequential. If I didn't have those things to keep me going I would have given up a long time ago.

I felt similar the past few months. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. For me, it's my husband. He's pretty much the only thing keeping me grounded and going. It's hard looking at the state of the world in decline and got me thinking how lucky we were as kids, to be provided a few years of worry-free fun, where anything and everything felt possible and the future felt bright, before we got hit with the harsh realities of adulthood and the darkness that comes with that. So I just try to enjoy life the best I can, do what I can, make improvements where I can. I don't really make plans for the future anymore because I've learned life hardly ever goes to plan, not much really works out how you think or hope it will long term. At least that's been true for me so far. So I just try to stay content and somewhat peaceful in the present. Love is a good reason to keep existing. Pets are a good reason to keep existing. Having someone who needs you I think is important to keep you motivated to stick around. Or having hobbies that bring enjoyment to your life. I think the point to life is just to experience it, nothing else. Another thing I was actually talking to my husband about yesterday is that we're all taught that we are supposed to have a "purpose" in order to live... and how depressing it is to be taught that. No wonder so many people are unhappy and discontented in life. We're taught that simply existing isn't enough, when it should be. We're taught our only value in life is what we can contribute to society, when maybe, we should first be taught to value ourselves, take care of ourselves, love ourselves first. You can't pour from an empty glass. Not everyone has a grand purpose that takes over their life, and that should be okay too. Maybe so many of us are discontented in life because of how we were taught to view our place in the world. Maybe we need a paradigm shift.

Idk lol.

Just kind of been existing for a few years had a lot of ups and downs. (mostly downs) :‑(

Other than that I guess what's keeping me alive is the hope that things will just figure themselves out.

(That and also being waaay too scared to pull the trigger) :‑|

I like staying inside and I like going outside. I like when its hot and when its cold. I like going new places and reading about new things. I also find peace in my routine, in my corner of the world. I live to see whats over the next hill and to understand what is in my own backyard. I love spending time with friends and family, and I love being alone. I like cold beer, good music, and laughing at funny stuff. I like feeling how tired and sore my muscles are after a long day at work. I love a good nights sleep. I love being happy and encouraging and teaching others. Whenever I'm sad, angry, or scared, I remember that there will be a time when I can't feel any of those anymore and that these emotions have their place. I'm glad I know what it feels like to fail as much as I am glad I know what it is like to succeed. I will be dead eventually, I am in no rush to get there. I think we take it for granted what a joy it is just to be alive and to be able to feel things.

I'm alive because why not? Why would I kill myself or completely give up or whatever? Even if life sucks I'm still here so why not keep it up?
Even if you live in cyberpunk and can't outrun the system, even one in yourself?

What I meant, was kind of 3001 final space odyssey, kind of shit where globgov/NATO/wef org tell you to drill into your head, implant chip, write hookupsite profile intro and let gov decide your fate (technocrats wet dream; iirc A.C.Clarke was in some t-c lite group)...

You're not winning agains the WEF really anyway - it's at the end of the day a forum for the business leaders, politicans and "intellectuals" in agreement with the broad policies of the WEF. By definition the WEF will always win because it's a forum designed for the winners, whoever they may be at the time. Any New World Order the members want we're already living in or are going to be as a result of policy decisions or business stratergies in a couple of years.
Outside of that the WEF likes to talk a lot of shit that never goes anywhere, they'll have speakers come in and talk about how the tax brackets of those rich enough to be members need rising or how we need to take action on climate change and then nothing will happen because at the end of the day the WEF is itself powerless, it's just a place the powerful go to talk with each other. Schwab and other members of staff can't do shit compared to any individual member - hence the need to court power from them at a large forum like the WEF and when the speakers fail to get their attention then nothing happens.
