I'll keep it short and sweet. What's keeping you alive? For the past weeks I have been struggling to find reason to do anything. Everything seems pointless. It's not that I'm craving death. If everything is pointless, so is death. I just find it hard to wake from bed. Do you feel similar? Whats keeping you motivated?

Carbohydrates. Simple cardbohydrates loaded with caffeine in an aluminium can with the label "Monster Energy".

You've decided everything is pointless.

Personally, I think the question of "does life have a meaning", and "what is the point", has an answer that sings a birdsong and there are millions if not billions of people seeking it out. At times, they capture their nightingale or cuckoo, but having captured it, it withers. They have caught and understood their life's meaning.

To fully understand your life's meaning, is to never go beyond it. You have drawn the map of your own prison. You have captured a species of bird called "pointless", and it might be better to let it free. One could say life is like a joke, as explaining and dissecting it ruins it in the same way it ruins a good joke.

Honestly? Just little day to day experiences. I know mindfulness is old hat, but sometimes the sun feels warmer than usual. Sometimes you have a really delicious cup of coffee. Sometimes you give someone a compliment and they have a really sweet smile. Sometimes you hear an amazing song for the first time. Hold on to those moments when you feel depressed. Seek them out. Even if all the big things in your life are going to shit, those little moments will still be there and can feel special if you pay attention to them.

that's a good question! i think the thing keeping me going the most is that i care about and am interested in my daily life. my career, myself and who i'm becoming, my friends and coworkers.

i try to treat every experience as a lesson. when painful things happen, i always learn something. i experience times of frustration, depression, fear etc. where i wonder, "what's the point of living? this is horrible!" but i think that's an important part of life too. bad experiences and challenges cause me to grow and become a more compassionate, caring person. caring in itself is a reason to do things well, and when i care about what i'm doing and put myself wholly into every interaction, just living my daily life is satisfying.

i have no proof, but i do think i'm here on earth to learn and grow. that's my deepest reason for living. but sometimes, in the moment, it's simple: i'm just excited to have my coffee, see a friend, or read the next chapter an interesting book!

No offense, homie. But I swear I saw that exact sentiment / screenshot in the >redditcostanzayeahrightsmirk cringe thread. What ever gives you will-to-live, yo, but deriving it from media / "coomsumption", dam, I'd consider re-evaluating.
One Piece is much more than pure media consumption, it's one of the defining stories of our era.

As tiresome as life can be at times, there's always something around the corner that makes one willing to keep writing, producing, directing and lead acting out their (silly) life story. Its goalposts are meant to keep moving and you along with them. Life feels better if one thinks of themself as a protagonist, whether that leading role is in a mystery, a farce or perhaps even a boring-ass avant-garde art creation, or whatever scenario it is people find themselves in. Winds of time will grind down our triumphs and mistakes to dust equally and without failure, so there's no need to worry about how well our struggles pan out. As long as we keep finding and creating meaning, we are perhaps able to impress and amuse other meaning-seekers with our performances, who may in turn allow us to be impressed and amused by theirs.

Hefty amounts of copium and fool's hope for a better tomorrow also helps.
