I have notice something curious about the Yugoslav Wars, perhaps it's because it was in the 90s, perhaps it's the region and the sociopolitical context, but along with the Soviet-Afghan War and the Gulf War, the Yugoslav Wars has some unique aesthetics that no other war had, from the uniforms to weapons, it was a generational clash, from a country that recieved many influences from the West and the USSR, a war in which special forces and paramilitaries were use extensively, no wonder why the aesthetics of this war are so unique (This year it would be the 30th anniversary of the Bosnian War)

very nice OP. I remember Bosnia being frequently talked about in my 5th grade class. My school had a program where we sent supplies to a sister school. This is similar to the Soviet Brutalist aesthetic, there is something mystifying about early 90s soviet dystopia for me. I feel nostalgia for it even though I have only lived in the western hemisphere. Maybe it's because I am able to contrast it to the aesthetic from the US at the time, it seems grittier.

Now that you've mentioned about the Yugoslav Wars, I remember meeting someone in a Russian MMOTPS/FPS game called Stay Out. He's allegedly related by blood to Željko "Arkan" Ražnatović (pictured below, center most), leader of the notorious Serb Volunteer Guard. I was deadass just chilling near an outpost while eating and reloading my mags when I got invited by this guy, his username is Hagoromo. We did quests and hunting together for quite a while and one time when we were by the campfire he told me how his family moved to Montenegro back in the day and renounce everything their relative Arkan did during the Yugoslav wars. I don't know if he's larping, I didn't meet him again several weeks after playing together but Hagoromo's a pretty nice guy. It's not everyday that you meet in-game someone who's actually related by blood to an infamous Balkan war criminal.

I won't be surprised really, a lot of Serbians commited barbaric acts during the war, for example Novislav Djajic (the guy from remove kebab) was arrested for war crimes.

I am more of a Chechnya man myself. Chechnya and Yugoslavia, if only I could have been there.

I imagine our wars isn't as interesting to people since it ended quickly and didn't have any funny songs associated with it. You could say it was a prequel to the Croatia and Bosnia conflicts.

Most wars are between countries, thus making them international conflicts. Or should I say... world wars?
Another libtard wrecked, later virgins, see you in WW200.
How will I ever recover from such a devastating display of facts and logic

Some few photos are in fact from the Slovenian War, still, you guys are too chill even for wars so don't worry.
