jQuery is a framework, instead of writing
document.getElementById('elementId').style.display = 'none';

I do just
$('#elementId').hide();

there's ups and downs but with what I want in some specific pages, I get more w just linking the script than ES6

oh don't take my word for it i make things in react 50% of the time which has an enormous stupid bundle size and is magnitudes less intuitive. software engineers love shitting on stuff that works! and if it works it works. even facebook uses a janky fork of php6.
