Really interesting to see that a new subgenre called 'dreamtone' is emerging. The sound has been around but just seems to finally getting labelled beyond ambient.

Always been a huge fan of his work, listened to him quite a bit in the past and I've gravitated back to him. I have fond memories when for about two weeks the only game I had available was LSD Dream Emulator on my laptop's PSX emulator - one of the most rewarding games to genuinely learn beyond the surface level experience.

Kongar-Ol Ondar is just one man, he was part of a traditional Tuvan music ensemble known as Alash though.

Also it was that era people had no smartphones and enjoyed the moment. Hope the trend continues after the pandemic where people realize Social media are a waste of time and creates more problems

I like going to concerts and parties with my phone turned off, except to take 4-5 photos. It ruins the moment.

Yeah i know, i mean, it was a natural path, but those technological jumps only makes me wish for a little technological stagnation, not something to severe, only one more extra decade for the 80's and 90's, you know, like an extended version before we can move up to anothe level.
