Won't it be fun when insincere angry shit you say to the tv/phone, to let off steam when you're all alone, becomes a criminal offense?
Personally I don't think it's happening quite yet, except for people already on their radar, just because it's too much data for them to parse ... for the moment.
But it will absolutely start sometime within the next several years, I'd say within the last year we've achieved AI that can parse the data for them with sufficient accuracy and it's now just a matter of them implementing it at the speed of government contracting.
Not even sure I had AI in mind when I made my initial post, but yeah that could do it. Was it this thread or a different one where somebody mentioned the possibility of AI face/voice/chat tech being used to create a passable avatar of a person to replace someone online? Basically 'Dead Internet Theory 2.0.' Don't think it would get very far on a wide scale, but a person or two, especially celebrities/politicians? Yeah, could see someone doing that.
My original post wasn't very well written, but I could add to it...
-iPhones can track average walk/jog/run speed, predictive tracking.
-Text-sensitive cameras can see what books/movies/etc. you have/read.
-Face-rec. Just,
face-rec.
-As stated above, a person's 'textual internet history' could be used for the generation of a solid AI model of their personality.
-Fan community membership, game/movie/music/website/book/etc. taste also used for psychological profiling.
-Inner-facing cameras could be used for gauging an individual's microexpressions towards a given form of content, thus lending to a 'profile.'
-Behavior in video games, such as the infamous quicksave-slaughter, villain routes, etc. could be used as evidence (bogus but you know what people are like) of psychopathic traits.
-Typing speed, backspaces, formatting, mouse movement, technical interactions in general.
Basically what I'm saying is that literally
everything done online could feasably be used against you. I'm not saying that it currently
is, but sonofabitch, it could be if somebody wanted to and had access to the requisite data. I am unfamiliar with the tech side of everything, it must be admitted, but at this point things are wild enough it seems like you might as well expect crazy.
