All canned meat can be eaten "raw" as it is cooked during the canning process itself.

Oh most definitely, all canned goods are good right out of the container due to meat being cooked in the process itself and some other processed meats are also good out of the package. Hotdogs are one of them. Generally, in society, there are a bunch of things we do and do not know about our food that is honestly just unnecessary. For example refrigeration of eggs and butter. Butter itself does not melt at room temperature nor does it spoil at the same. Obviously with eggs, the same is true within reason.

they make butter dishes specifically for the second part and no one wants their butter to remain "hard" on the food We made butter so it would not spoil like milk does (same with cheese)
